Welcome

Dear Classmates,

It has been more than 15 years since we graduated from our medical school. We have been in different places, countries, doing our own business, some are rich and successful and settled, some still struggling and following their own dreams. Some are busy raising families, some trying to start one, (some I wonder if they've already given up). Some of us see each other on relatively regular basis, although not like when we are in school anymore. Some are not in touch with classmates anymore.

However, our classmates have been in the minds of each and all of us. Sometimes when we talked to our friends. Sometimes when we came across the things that we did together, things that we did in school, things that we did long after we left our school. Most of us want to know what our classmates have been doing. We are happy when we hear the news of our successful classmates. We feel sad for friends who left all of us prematurely. Most of all we miss our friends as we are leading our own different lives and directions.

I have been talking to a number of our classmates this holiday season and to have a Class Reunion is a recurring thought among many classmates. As many classes before us have done it, I am sure we will have our own class reunion too, someday, somewhere, hopefully not too distant in the future. Probably in a place where many classmates can come. A time many will be able come. Even in the place where we all started our history together, in Yangon.

But I have no idea how to do it or when it will be. I think it will be tough and will take a lot of time. Some of us have to start thinking and spreading the word out. Many of us will have to talk to each other to figure out how and when and where it should be done. All of us will contribute our thoughts and inputs to accomplish this. After all, it is our class and all of us should be there to make it a class reunion. But, it has been 5 years since we last updated our address list for overseas classmates. I am not aware of any other collection of addresses. I believe we will need to develop a way to keep in touch with each other and update our information. It will serve as a forum to exchange ideas about the reunion as well as a other topics of interest to our group.

Please come and visit this site often. Let other classmates know about this website and encourage to visit. Please email us with your address, office address, telephone numbers and email addresses, and any thing else you wish to include. It will be interesting for us all to know where you are, what kind of specialty you are practicing, what kind of business you are running or how many companies you own. Some may be interested in job opportunities in your area, some how many kids you have. Some probably want to know if you are still single :-). (I mean we are very helpful bunch of people and want to help friends in any way we could. Right?)

I hope this will start a website with info on our classmates. It will be up to each one of us if any information should be on this page or what to appear. It will be updated as often as necessary.

Wishing you all a happy and prosperous new year,

Aung Khine
